Abstract
This article has investigated the impact of entrepreneurship studies, small and medium enterprises on Economic Growth in Nigeria. A review method was used to gather information from secondary sources of journals, textbooks, periodicals and the use of internet. TheAbstract roles entrepreneurship studies, Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as a catalyst for economic growth, has been well documented in the conceptual clarifications. The global economic crisis negatively affected productive activities and reduces business operations, investments and demand for goods and services. The concepts of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurship studies, economic growth, economic development and small and medium enterprises were all reviewed in context of the purpose. The relationship between entrepreneurship, small and medium enterprises and economic growth and development is also established. The paper concludes and recommends among others that Government need to address urgently the dilapidated infrastructural facilities in the country, starting with the power sector, roads and railways, provide adequate security and give every citizen the sense of belonging. The inputs into an entrepreneurial process; capital, management, technology, buildings, communications and transportation infrastructure, distribution channels and skilled labour, tend to be easier to find in urban areas. Professional advice is also hard to come by. Hence, Government and non-governmental bodies should sensitise the community irrespective of location and level of academic achievement on the need for entrepreneurship studies.
